Influential Women recognizes Mishay U. Benson: turning Customer Onboarding into an engine for trust, value, and growth.

Influential Women recognizes Mishay U. Benson: turning Customer Onboarding into an engine for trust, value, and growth. October 15, 2026, 08:14 GMT TX, UNITED STATES, October 15, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / - The Director of Customer Onboarding at SambaSafety Combines Operational Excellence, People-First Leadership, and Faith to Help Customers and Teams Thrive Cypress, Texas - Mishay U. Benson is a customer experience and operations leader who has built her career on a simple conviction: onboarding is far more than a process. As Director of Customer Onboarding at SambaSafety, a provider of SaaS risk monitoring solutions for the safety and transportation industry, she leads teams dedicated to helping customers successfully adopt and get the most out of complex software. For Mishay, every onboarding experience is an opportunity to build trust, create value, and lay the foundation for sustainable growth. With more than a decade of experience spanning customer success, technical support, operations, and healthcare administration, Mishay has earned a reputation for creating scalable systems, cultivating strong leadership teams, and designing onboarding experiences that place the customer at the center of every decision. She is passionate about the connection between operational excellence and human connection, and she believes the two must work together for an organization to deliver lasting results. Before joining SambaSafety, Mishay held leadership and program management roles with Molina Healthcare, where she supported large-scale reporting initiatives, training programs, and healthcare operations across New Mexico. Since joining SambaSafety in 2018, she has steadily advanced through a series of leadership positions, including Customer Success Manager, Team Manager of Customer Success, Senior Manager of Escalations, and Director of Customer Operations, before stepping into her current role. Her progression reflects both her commitment to results and her ability to lead people through growth and change. Her educational journey began at Central New Mexico Community College, where she earned a business degree with the original goal of launching a food service and catering business. After briefly attending the University of New Mexico, she shifted her focus toward personal development, leadership, and communication. Determined to strengthen her ability to influence and inspire others, she pursued certifications in professional speaking through Jeremy Anderson and in mental performance coaching through Dr. Caroline Leaf. Mishay believes that investing in communication, emotional intelligence, branding, and personal growth has shaped her career and leadership style as much as traditional education. Mishay attributes much of her success to the strong support system she has had throughout her life. Growing up with entrepreneurial parents who owned businesses taught her resilience, determination, and the belief that opportunities are always within reach for those willing to work for them. She is also deeply grateful for the mentors who guided her through business and technology, particularly as a woman in industries where representation has traditionally been limited. Their encouragement helped her develop the confidence to trust her abilities and pursue ambitious goals without hesitation. One lesson from her mentor and CEO has stayed with her in a particularly meaningful way. He encouraged her to stop thanking people for the opportunity to be included, reminding her that her voice matters and that her seat at the table was earned, not given. That shift in perspective continues to influence how she leads and how she encourages others to recognize their own worth. The best career advice Mishay has received is to think like the CEO and work like an entry-level employee. She values the balance this approach creates between leadership and humility. In her view, true success comes from maintaining a strategic, big-picture vision while remaining willing to put in the hard work, stay hands-on, and commit to execution at every level. Her advice to women entering technology, transportation, or any traditionally male-dominated industry is straightforward: there is already a seat at the table for them, and they do not need permission to belong or to lead. She encourages women to invest in themselves, keep learning, trust their instincts, and recognize the significant value they bring to their industries. Confidence, preparation, and persistence, she believes, can open doors that once seemed out of reach. Looking at her field today, Mishay sees the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence as both one of its biggest challenges and one of its greatest opportunities. Working in technology, she recognizes that AI adoption is something organizations can no longer ignore. The pace of innovation demands continuous learning and adaptability, yet she remains excited by the possibilities AI creates for improving efficiency, driving innovation, and transforming the way businesses operate. Consistency, faith, and grit are the values that guide Mishay in both her professional and personal life. She believes consistency is what allows people to achieve long-term success, especially when others give up too soon. Faith serves as the foundation of who she is and keeps her grounded through every season of life, while grit pushes her forward during challenges and reminds her to persevere when circumstances become difficult. Outside of her corporate leadership work, Mishay is an advocate for mental wellness, resilience, and intentional living, often sharing insights about recovery, mindset, and workplace well-being. Known for her people-first mindset, she is deeply committed to helping others grow both personally and professionally. Guided by faith, discipline, and a desire to create meaningful impact, Mishay U. Benson continues to inspire teams and customers through authentic leadership and a relentless commitment to service. (Credit: Amanda Kinseth) Ask ABC News 4 anything How many diapers will be given away at the Goose Creek baby shower? What maternal health resources are available at the event? Why is diaper insecurity a focus of this event? GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) - Molina Healthcare in partnership with Health Hurts Ministries and Bundles of Joy, will be holding a community baby shower Saturday. Their goal is to offer parents some of the much needed baby essentials free of cost, benefiting both parent and baby. According to data provided by Molina Healthcare, approximately 40% of all households with young children under age 4 in diapers report diaper insecurity, and over 60% of low-income households report diaper insecurity. The lack of clean diapers and the subsequent issues that it can cause may lead to missed days at work and school, missed early education opportunities for toddlers, and an increased likelihood of painful rashes and infections. Organizers state that they aim to prevent these issues and more through their community baby showers. At the event organizers will be giving away approximately 20,000 diapers, new baby clothes, diaper bags, baby wipes and other essential infant care items on a first come first served basis. In addition to essentials, attendees can also connect with organizations who are providing valuable information, community resources, maternal health education, and family support services. Organizers state that this event is expected to serve approximately 300 new and expecting mothers and aims to be one of the largest community baby shower's of the Lowcountry in 2026. This event is free and open to the public and will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Oct. 17 at 358 Liberty Hall Road in Goose Creek. SPONSORED CONTENT MORE TO EXPLORE

Caresource and Molina will leave Ohio ACA Marketplace plans in 2027, affecting about 54,000 residents across the state.

Caresource and Molina will leave Ohio ACA Marketplace plans in 2027, affecting about 54,000 residents across the state. * October 3, 2026 7:30 am Oct 2, 2026 DAYTON, OH - Two major health insurers will stop offering Affordable Care Act Marketplace plans in Ohio in 2027, changing coverage options for tens of thousands of residents who buy individual health insurance through the exchange. Dayton-based CareSource and Molina Healthcare of Ohio are both leaving the market, according to notices and statements from the companies and the Ohio Department of Insurance. The change affects a combined 54,000 Ohioans who currently get coverage through those insurers on the state's ACA Marketplace. CareSource said it made a difficult decision to exit the Ohio marketplace and will not offer the product in 2027. Current members will keep their coverage through Dec. 31, 2026. After that, they will need to choose a new plan during open enrollment for 2027. CareSource says rising costs pushed the exit. CareSource said the move was driven by higher health care costs and continuing changes in the ACA Marketplace. The nonprofit said it reviews its programs regularly to make sure they remain effective and financially sustainable. In its statement, the company said it remains focused on serving members and communities across Ohio. CareSource also said the decision does not affect its Medicaid or MyCare Ohio plans, which will continue operating. As of May, CareSource covered about 28,300 people through Ohio's ACA Marketplace, state officials said. The company offers health insurance products, including Medicaid, ACA Marketplace, and Medicare plans, to more than two million members across 12 states. Across its brands, CareSource reported more than $13 billion in revenue in 2024, with earnings above $386 million, according to nonprofit tax filings. Molina's Ohio members will also need new coverage. Molina Healthcare of Ohio did not respond to a request for comment, but its exit will also leave thousands of enrollees looking for another plan for 2027. The Ohio Department of Insurance said the company is part of the group of insurers leaving the exchange next year. Molina Healthcare Inc., the parent company of the Ohio subsidiary, is a publicly traded Fortune 500 company that provides managed health care services through Medicaid, Medicare and state insurance marketplaces. It serves about 5.5 million members in 21 states, according to the company's website. The company reported total revenue of about $10.9 billion for the three months ended June 30, 2026. Net income for the quarter was $60 million, down 76% from $255 million in the second quarter of 2025. Molina's earnings show pressure in the ACA business. Molina said lower premium revenue and a higher medical care ratio drove the decline in quarterly profits. The medical care ratio measures how much of a health insurer's premium income is spent on patient care and quality improvement. For the second quarter of 2026, Molina's consolidated medical care ratio was 92.2%. Its ACA Marketplace plans posted an 88.9% ratio, which the company said was still above its expectations for those plans. In its 2025 annual report, Molina said it brought in $45.4 billion in revenue, with net earnings of $472 million and a medical care ratio of 91.7%. The company said 2024 revenue was $40.7 billion, with net earnings of $1.2 billion and a medical care ratio of 89.1%. Open enrollment begins Nov. 1 for people shopping the exchange. The Affordable Care Act requires every state to have an exchange where people can buy individual health insurance policies. In Ohio, the federal government runs the exchange. Residents who do not have insurance through an employer, Medicare or Medicaid may be eligible to buy coverage through the marketplace. For 2027 coverage, open enrollment runs from Nov. 1 through Jan. 15, 2027, according to the Ohio Department of Insurance. People who want coverage starting Jan. 1, 2027, must enroll by Dec. 15. That deadline will matter for anyone whose current plan is ending after the 2026 plan year. More insurers will remain on the exchange across most Ohio counties. The Ohio Department of Insurance approved nine companies to sell plans on the exchange for 2027. Based on the department's approved plan information, only five counties will have two insurers available, while every other county will have at least three. In the Dayton, Springfield and Hamilton regions, counties will have between six and seven insurers offering plans. That means residents in much of the state will still have several options even after CareSource and Molina leave. Companies that have filed to sell individual plans in Ohio's ACA Marketplace include AmeriHealth Caritas Ohio, Antidote Health Plan of Ohio, Buckeye Community Health Plan, Community Insurance Company, Medical Mutual of Ohio, Oscar Buckeye State Insurance Corporation, Oscar Insurance Corporation of Ohio, Summa Insurance Company and United Healthcare of Ohio.
