Process Technician
About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least five years of experience as an industrial machinery operator is required.
- Basic math skills for calculations are required.
- Must be able to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays.
- Must be able to stand for 12 hours, walk frequently, climb stairs, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds during a shift.
- Must be able to work in a hot environment and tolerate exposure to high temperatures.
- Must be willing to undergo a drug screening and criminal background check upon hire.
- Must have computer proficiency for data-entry reporting.
- Must have a working knowledge of the sequential control logic that operates the production line.
- Must know quality standards and perform and document quality checks.
- Must consistently follow workplace safety policies and procedures.
- An associate degree or certificate from a technical institution or trade school is preferred.
- Complete operator training, help update operator training, and help train others.
- Start up machinery.
- Coordinate and perform maintenance and rework functions.
- Perform routine maintenance procedures.
- Complete the steps required for product and size changes.
- Safely follow the appropriate procedures to clear jams from all equipment.
- Clean the work area and help others clean their areas as needed.
- Read machinery temperature and pressure readings and maintain machinery.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
