About the Job

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications, including senior in-house or agency roles owning the long-term media narrative for a technology, industrial, or energy company.
  • A multi-year track record of building a sustained media presence, with coverage that cumulatively builds around company milestones rather than one-off hits.
  • Strong understanding of construction, heavy equipment, renewable energy, or industrial technology, and business fluency to speak credibly about retrofit automation and subscription-based AaaS with journalists and investors.
  • Established relationships with top-tier business, technology, and trade media.
  • Strategic judgment on outlet selection, timing, and disclosure, with experience advising founders or C-level executives and handling confidential, market-sensitive information.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills to turn complex technology and business progress into clear, credible narratives.
  • Ability to work proactively and adaptably while building processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own a multi-year media strategy tied to the company roadmap and vision, mapping customer deployments, new equipment and verticals, product launches, funding, and IPO readiness to a communications calendar.
  • Select outlets, journalists, and timing for milestones across trade, business, technology, energy, and financial press, prioritizing credibility and lasting impact over volume.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and industry analysts covering construction, renewable energy, robotics and AI, business, and finance.
  • Maintain a messaging framework and coverage record to ensure each story reinforces prior coverage and remains consistent with long-term positioning.
  • Develop executive thought leadership through bylined articles and speaking opportunities, and prepare founders and leaders to serve as spokespeople.
  • Advise leadership on timing and disclosure, including when to hold a story, and lead crisis and issues communications.
  • Manage external public relations agencies and measure success by the quality and reach of coverage among target investor and customer audiences.
  • Align the public narrative with the company’s equity story in partnership with the CEO, Finance, and Korea headquarters.
  • Provide leadership and Sales with press kits, curated coverage, and narrative inputs for investor updates, fundraising materials, and customer conversations.
  • Support IPO-readiness work alongside the Head of Finance by applying disclosure discipline to external communications and preparing for future public-company communications.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Field Operations to identify customer stories and field results and ensure external messaging is accurate and brand-aligned.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience communicating with both investors and enterprise customers, ideally supporting a fundraising round, pre-IPO program, or a company’s transition to public reporting.
  • Background in construction technology, robotics, artificial intelligence, clean energy, or other hard-tech sectors.
  • Familiarity with financial communications and disclosure practices.
  • Proficiency in Korean to communicate with Korea headquarters stakeholders and support cross-border messaging.
