Requirements
  • A proven history of successful sales achievement in technology, including computers, software, broadband, mobility, wireless, infrastructure, telecommunications, or data centers.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with analytical and numeric ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A demonstrated ability to network successfully and build a new client base.
  • At least two years of experience selling voice, data, wireless, and/or infrastructure products and services.
  • A proven track record in lead generation, account development, negotiating, solution selling, and closing profitable deals.
  • The ability to write and present proposals effectively.
  • The ability to prospect effectively and gain appointments and meetings to introduce ABcom to clients.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • The ability to travel by personal vehicle or airplane to customer sites and participate in meetings, presentations, and site surveys.
  • The ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Responsibilities
  • Develop new and existing accounts within the assigned geographic region through prospecting, networking, solution selling, and closing.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned revenue and gross-margin quotas and build market share in the designated area.
  • Establish and maintain customer and vendor relationships.
  • Develop business plans covering prospecting, account strategy, forecasting, and pipeline management to drive assigned sales and gross-margin quotas.
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations and responses to requests for proposals that address prospects’ business issues and explain proposed solutions.
  • Conduct networking activities with solution partners, consultants, and other professionals to maximize revenue and generate new business.
  • Use web 2.0 tools, social media, and collaborative applications to communicate and network with customers and prospects.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, and professional societies.
  • Maintain assigned existing client relationships.
  • Develop new clients and opportunities through networking and marketing.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts by drawing engineering design and project management resources into customer opportunities to meet client needs and establish achievable profit goals.
  • Provide a high level of customer satisfaction and experience to support ongoing and repeatable client business.
  • Increase the ABcom client base and geographic reach by leveraging the company’s nationwide presence.
  • Coordinate with engineering and project management teams to create accurate bills of materials and cost estimates for upcoming jobs.
  • Provide standard handoffs to operations for closed sales work.
  • Coordinate with project managers to support effective customer communication and on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Sales or Vice President of Operations.
  • Travel to customer sites and participate in client meetings, presentations, and site surveys.
