  • Own the SOX 404 IT general controls program for an assigned portfolio of in-scope financial applications and supporting infrastructure, covering access to programs and data, change management, program development, and IT operations.
  • Test IT application controls, key reports, interfaces, and system-generated data supporting financial reporting across the enterprise resource planning system and other in-scope financial applications.
  • Perform annual and ad hoc segregation-of-duties analysis by extracting, normalizing, and deduplicating role and entitlement data, maintaining conflict rules, identifying conflicting access combinations and privileged access exceptions, and working with process owners to validate, justify, or remediate findings.
  • Automate extraction, normalization, and comparison steps in segregation-of-duties analysis to make the process repeatable and monitorable.
  • Audit enterprise identity and access management, including directory services, single sign-on, identity governance and access certification platforms, and privileged access and secrets management tools, covering provisioning, privileged access, and periodic user access reviews.

  • Contribute to emerging-risk coverage as AI use expands, including evaluating AI and model governance controls against the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and ISO/IEC 42001.
  • Apply data analytics and AI-assisted tools to audit work, including scripted population extraction, full-population testing where practical, and automated continuous monitoring.
  • Prepare well-supported work papers, summarize findings, and review them with the Chief Audit Executive and/or Senior Manager, IT Risk & Assurance.

  • Recommend practical control design and process enhancements to improve the internal control structure.
  • Coach and review junior auditors and co-sourced resources, and help maintain testing standards, templates, and documentation quality.
  • Keep leadership informed of progress, control weaknesses, and audit findings; meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information and situations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Oracle experience is strongly preferred; SAP, NetSuite, or comparable enterprise resource planning systems are also valued.
  • Experience with AI and automation in audit work, including Claude or AI-assisted workflows, is valuable; expert-level proficiency is not required on arrival.
  • SQL, Python, PowerShell, VBA, Power BI, Tableau, shell scripting, regular expressions, and REST APIs are valuable technical skills.
  • CISSP, CIA, CRISC, CPA, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, or an AWS certification is a plus.

Fair Isaac faces mortgage score challenge while Cadence grows across all products

Fair Isaac and Cadence Design Systems both sell products customers cannot easily replace, but their growth drivers differ significantly. Cadence's chip design software grows across all product groups, whilst Fair Isaac's growth stems primarily from raising prices on its FICO Score. In September 2026, the Federal Housing Finance Agency announced it would start using VantageScore, a cheaper rival, to set mortgage prices. This decision particularly affects Fair Isaac, whose Scores revenue grew 41% in fiscal Q3 2026, driven mainly by higher mortgage score prices. Cadence carries far less debt, at 2.7% of market value versus Fair Isaac's 40%. Fair Isaac trades at 18.4 times earnings compared to Cadence's 69.7 times. Fair Isaac's share price has fallen 56% over the past year, whilst Cadence is down 0.2%. Fair Isaac has not reported results since the government announcement.
