- Expert-level knowledge of packet-capture analysis.
- Expert-level experience with load-balancing vendor products such as F5 and AVI.
- Preferred experience administering virtualization systems such as VMware ESXi and cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure.
- Configure and manage load balancers on a daily basis.
- Work with application teams to build load-balancing configurations according to defined standards.
- Serve as a high-level technical subject-matter expert for the load-balancing infrastructure at American Express.
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-severity, business-impacting outages and incidents.
- Provide technical direction for platforms and applications within the supported portfolio.
- Serve as a load-balancing architecture consultant to ensure infrastructure configuration aligns with business and information-technology strategy.
- Partner with American Express technology application and hosting teams to determine practical solutions that follow enterprise standards.
- Ensure accurate asset information is recorded and documented for the supported platform or application.
