'Incredibly exciting milestone': The House of Golf lands exclusive Maxfli and Top Flite deal.

'Incredibly exciting milestone': The House of Golf lands exclusive Maxfli and Top Flite deal. Two of golf's most recognisable equipment brands are set for a major return to the Australian market after The House of Golf secured an exclusive five-year distribution agreement with US retail giant DICK'S Sporting Goods. Under the deal, The House of Golf will become the exclusive Australian distributor and retail partner for Maxfli and Top Flite, both owned by DICK'S, with products to be sold through its national store network and digital platforms from October. The agreement represents a significant move for The House of Golf and links the Australian retailer with one of the biggest names in global sporting-goods retail. Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Pittsburgh, DICK'S Sporting Goods is one of the leading omnichannel sporting retailers in the United States, operating major businesses including DICK'S Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy and its growing House of Sport and Golf Galaxy Performance Centre concepts. Its wider portfolio also includes Foot Locker, Champs Sports, WSS and atmos, giving the group a substantial retail presence across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. For Australian golf, however, the significance of the deal centres on two brands with considerable history in the game, particularly Maxfli. The initial rollout will focus on Maxfli Tour golf balls, with additional products expected to follow. Top Flite's broader range of golf balls, equipment and accessories will also form part of the partnership. "This is an incredibly exciting milestone for The House of Golf," owner Michael Button said. "These are iconic brands with a rich history and proven performance, and we're proud to be the home for them in Australia." DICK'S Sporting Goods executive chairman Ed Stack said the partnership represented an important step in expanding access to the brands while reconnecting Maxfli with its Australian heritage. "We're excited to welcome The House of Golf as our exclusive Australian distributor of Maxfli and Top Flite products," Stack said. For Australian golfers, Maxfli has long been synonymous with the Australian golfing landscape, with generations of players growing up with the brand in their bags. Its return will be instantly recognisable to man and reconnects one of the game's most storied names with a market where it once enjoyed a significant presence. Taekwando school keeps kicking, moves class outside during Chapel Hills Mall fire.

Taekwando school keeps kicking, moves class outside during Chapel Hills Mall fire. August 19, 2026 5:59 PM COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - While most stores shut down after a fire in the trash compactor of Dick's Sporting Goods at the Chapel Hills Mall Tuesday, one business kept on kicking during the evacuation. Just 30 minutes before class was scheduled to start at Academy of Life and Leadership Taekwondo, Chapel Hills Mall security let them know they needed to evacuate. "How do I take a tough situation and turn it into something better?" said Barbara Kunkel, owner of the martial arts school. Instead of cancelling class, Kunkel turned the mall parking lot into a taekwondo studio. "We're martial artists that don't give up at the slightest," Kunkel said. "We always try to think of solutions." Kunkel said it was a team effort getting the word out, stationing people at entrances around the mall to gather the students for this special outdoor class. A crowd of mall evacuees watched in on the action as the students practiced some of their self-defense skills. "The self-defense for the real stuff is not going to happen in [the studio]. We train them for out there," Kunkel said. What started as a pretty chaotic situation turned into a valuable teaching lesson for Kunkel's students, ranging from age 4 to 74. "Whether it's something that happens in your own home or something that happens at a mall or something that happens to you, challenges will happen," Kunkel said. "It's not if, but when. It's what we do with those challenges that are going to make a difference." Academy of Life and Leadership Taekwondo operates a second location next to Dick's Sporting Goods where they host summer camps and other events, but it was not occupied during the fire. The Colorado Springs Fire Department said the fire was under control at 8:10 p.m. on August 18. Officials said the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Dick's Sporting Goods at Chapel Hills Mall remains closed, and there is no estimate for when the store will reopen. Article Topic Follows: News

Salomon sees North american growth as Arc'teryx partners with Dick's Sporting Goods.

Salomon sees North american growth as Arc'teryx partners with Dick's Sporting Goods. Amer Sports sees growth for Salomon in North America and an Arc'teryx partnership for a shop-in-shop in 15 Dick's House of Sports doors to start this fall. August 18, 2026, 3:39pm North America represents growth opportunities for Amer Sports' two key brands, Arc'teryx and Salomon footwear. Amer's chief financial officer Andrew Page told investors during a Tuesday conference call after posting second quarter results that second quarter store openings for Arc'teryx include Oak Ridge Park in Vancouver and Southdale in Minnesota, bringing the total store network to 75 locations across the continent. Page said there also could be 200 doors over time across North America. In the U.S., LUXUS Alternatives, Inc. is expanding into a "new partnership with Dick's Sporting Goods where we will be entering 15 hand-selected premium House of Sports locations for fall-winter 2026," Page said. The Arc'teryx brand will be showcased in experiential shop-in-shop formats, with a particular "emphasis on the core outerwear offerings and including footwear," the CFO noted, adding that the shops are in the test-and-learn stage and that there is "potential to expand further over time." In a telephone interview, Page said the Arc'teryx partnership builds on the existing relationship Amer has with Dick's in connection with its Ball and Racquet business through Wilson 360. Page also spoke about the positive feedback from consumers on Salomon's new gravel concept. The hybrid running shoe allows for an "easier transition when you go from gravel to pavement running," he said. And while Salomon's performance running platform continues to see fast growth, Page noted that Sportstyle - introduced a few years ago featuring the "same DNA and the technical performance ability as our trail running shoes" - has been the fastest growing franchise in its footwear business, although both are still smaller than Salomon's trail business. Jie Zheng, Amer's chief executive officer, told investors on the conference call that investments to grow Salomon brand awareness and the distribution footprint are paying off, "driving strong footwear momentum across regions, channels and for both Sportstyle and the Performance products. He said global Sportstyle momentum continues, which is helping the development of Salomon's positioning "as the modern outdoor sneaker brand. The XT6 and XT Whisper franchise are resonating with a younger and more diverse adults from technical sports in the mountains to culture and the communities in the cities." Zheng also said that South Korean global superstar singer and actress Jisoo will be Salomon's new global ambassador. The Amer CEO said that while the U.S. is the largest single sneaker market in the world, it remains a "small business for us," noting that there is strong demand for the Salomon brand but very limited distribution thus far for the brand. "Today, we are seeing a clear acceleration in North America as we leverage the rising brand awareness to expand distribution with both new and existing wholesale partners as well as our own stores and e-com," Zheng said. The brand during the quarter opened its first North America flagship store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, and is expanding wholesale shelf space with existing wholesale partners Nordstrom and JD Sports, and more recently starting in July, Foot Locker. As for the epicenter strategy, cities such as Paris, London, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo and New York are driving both strong sales momentum and rising brand awareness through relevant store locations or "handpicked elevated wholesale doors." The brand is also investing in event partnerships in its epicenter cities to build lasting connections with consumers. Zheng said Miami, San Francisco, Chicago and Boston in the U.S. are the new major cities that will be part of the epicenter strategy down the road. Overseas, the new major cities in the future include Berlin and Seoul. And for Arc'teryx, Zheng said the brand had another great quarter with its footwear business, including "strong double-digit growth across regions." Arc'teryx's Norvan LD 4 trail shoes continues to be "our biggest volume driver," Zheng said. Also continuing to do well are its Konseal trekking shoes. And he said that the launch of the brand's latest version of its technical trail racing shoe, the Sylan 2, in March continues to perform well. "Looking forward, we are confident that Arc'teryx has an exciting pipeline of shoe releases for the coming years," Zheng said, adding that the brand also saw momentum in its women's apparel category. He noted that the category is growing fast and the brand awareness is rising as the company improves fit, style and function for its women's offerings. For the second quarter ended June 30, net income skyrocketed to $107.2 million from $18.2 million in the same year-ago quarter, on a 32.1 percent gain in revenue to $1.63 billion from $1.24 billion. For the second quarter in a row, Amer raised guidance for the year ending Dec. 31, 2026. It now expects revenue to grow 24 percent, with diluted earnings per share forecasted at between $1.27 to $1.30. Daily Headlines

He founded 90Ten in 2023. "Bishop Arts and Lower Greenville represent exactly the type of upscale, urban trade areas we're seeking - places with exceptional real estate, strong local operators, and best-in-class brands that create lasting value," Russ adds. The properties house some the hottest restaurants and shops in town. The firm says it will continue hunting for retail real estate deals in Dallas, Austin, and Tampa-St. Petersburg, Florida, along with other fast-growing markets. "Today's commercial real estate landscape is incredibly competitive, and we're often going head-to-head with some of the largest investment firms in the country," says Russ. From April 2020 to July 2025, Forney's population soared by 79 percent to nearly 41,700, making it one of the fastest-growing cities in North Texas and the U.S. A report released in January 2025 by OpenDoor revealed Forney's 75126 ZIP code claimed the No. 6 ranking as the hottest U.S. housing market in 2024 for the second year in a row. It was the only North Texas ZIP code to make the top 10. Forney failed to crack the top 10 in OpenDoor's 2026 report, though. The only DFW ZIP code appearing in the latest top 10 is McKinney's 75071, landing at No. 8.
