OrthoPediatrics Corp. launches OPSB(R) Knee 'TractorFIX contracture management orthosis. Published on 10/07/2026 at 09:20 am EDT S&P Capital IQ OrthoPediatrics Corp. announced the expansion of its OrthoPediatrics Specialty Bracing (?OPSB?) portfolio with a new product launch, the OPSB(R) Knee 'TractorFIX contracture management orthosis. Knee 'TractorFIX is a first-of-its-kind pediatric bracing solution intended to treat knee contractures, pre-existing or developing, in pediatric patients approximately 2 to 21 years of age who are undergoing tibial treatment with an external fixator. The brace connects directly to the external fixator to support contracture management during tibial treatment. The bracing system was developed to address the significant clinical challenges caused by pediatric knee contractures, which can include limited range of motion, complicated rehabilitation, prolonged treatment, and negatively impacted functional outcomes. Knee 'TractorFIX expands OPSB's lower extremity bracing portfolio while addressing a clinical indication with limited pediatric-specific options. The bracing system adds to a growing offering of specialty bracing technologies, including products such as DF2(R), TRAXIO, and PediHip(R). (C) S&P Capital IQ - 2026

OrthoPediatrics hits 10% EBITDA margin as trauma growth surges 26% and bracing expands to 150 hospitals

OrthoPediatrics Corp. reported reaching a financial inflection point in Q2 2026, with record adjusted EBITDA margins nearing 10% and expectations for positive free cash flow in the second half of the year. The company's Trauma and Deformity segment grew 26%, driven by its 3P Hip system deployment. The OrthoPediatrics Specialty Bracing business emerged as a key revenue catalyst, with its DF2 system adopted by 150 children's hospitals. However, the scoliosis segment showed a 9% decline due to zero 7D unit sales and reduced Brazilian set sales. Management is implementing its "Innovation Super Cycle" strategy, focusing on higher-margin products with lower capital requirements. The 3P Small-Mini system will launch in early 2027, whilst the eLLi smart spinal implant remains on track for late 2026 procedures pending FDA guidance.

Adjusted EBITDA reached a record $6.8 million, while gross margin improved to 74%. * Management raised full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $265 million-$269 million, while maintaining its approximately $25 million adjusted EBITDA target and expecting positive free cash flow in the second half of the year. * The company cited strong international growth and an upcoming product "innovation super cycle" as future drivers, though Scoliosis revenue fell 9% due to the timing of 7D unit sales and weaker Brazil set sales. Analysts maintain a Moderate Buy consensus with a $24.78 price target. * MarketBeat previews the top five stocks to own by September 1st. OrthoPediatrics (NASDAQ:KIDS - Get Free Report) posted its quarterly earnings results on Tuesday. The business had revenue of $70.51 million for the quarter, compared to the consensus estimate of $68.21 million. OrthoPediatrics had a negative return on equity of 7.01% and a negative net margin of 16.31%. Here are the key takeaways from OrthoPediatrics' conference call: * Second-quarter revenue rose 15% to a record $70.5 million, led by 26% growth in Trauma & Deformity and more than 20% growth in OPSB. Adjusted EBITDA reached a record $6.8 million, with gross margin improving to 74%. * Management raised full-year 2026 revenue guidance to $265 million-$269 million, representing 12%-14% growth, while reiterating approximately $25 million of adjusted EBITDA. Management expects these products to support higher growth, margins, and returns on capital, while strengthening opportunities for broader hospital contracts. * Reported Scoliosis revenue declined 9% because of no 7D unit sales in the quarter and lower Brazil set sales, although underlying implant and bracing revenue grew in the mid-teens. Management said demand remains strong and expects 7D sales, VerteGlide adoption, and a strong summer surgery schedule to support future results, but timing remains difficult to predict. * International revenue increased 22%, led by record European performance and expanding EU MDR approvals, while Brazil's weaker set sales reflected cash-collection and ordering discipline rather than demand concerns. The company expects European product access and its Brazilian operational changes to provide additional growth over time. OrthoPediatrics stock performance.
