Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of work experience on the same or a functionally similar press.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, walking, and standing; manual dexterity for repetitive work.
Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions and set up the press accordingly.
Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work with chemicals.

Responsibilities

Lead a press crew effectively.
Interact with the press schedule and complete tickets accordingly.
Interact professionally with pressroom clients.
Produce quality print efficiently and meet scheduled press times.
Follow pressroom procedures for control sheets, charging time and material, load tags, FSC stock, and samples.
Perform needed press maintenance and cleaning.
Maintain the press, front console work area, and pressroom in a clean and professional manner.
Perform additional assigned duties.

Desired Qualifications

Understand densitometers and spectrophotometers.
Understand basic G7 practices.
Understand and comply with Lean Manufacturing.
Know how to mix and produce correct color in printing.
Have strong knowledge of the applicability of various jobs to the press.
Have thorough knowledge of problem-solving on press and of press operations and functions.
Have a strong understanding of prepress functions.
Demonstrate reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to the workstation.
Demonstrate a positive safety attitude.
Take a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems before they arise.
Demonstrate coordination, multitasking, and attention to detail.
Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Continually improve operator skills and knowledge.

Salary Range: 30 to 38 (Currency: USD) (Pay period: per-hour-wage)

The Litho Press Operator is responsible for performing machine operator tasks in the set-up, maintenance, and operation of a litho printing press.

SHIFT: 6pm - 6am, rotating

Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Lead a press crew effectivelyInteract with the press schedule and ticket accordinglyInteract with pressroom clients in a professional mannerProduce quality print in the most efficient mannerProducing product in a timely manner meeting the scheduled press timesFollow pressroom procedures for control sheets, charging time & material, load tags, FSC stock, and samplesPerform needed maintenance and cleaning on the presses Ensure Press, front console work area, and pressroom are maintained in a clean and professional mannerUnderstanding of densitometers and spectrophotometersPerform additional duties assigned

Qualifications
