Requirements
  • Proven experience integrating and testing software and hardware systems
  • Comfortability using a computer terminal (i.e. Linux)
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies
  • Experience with hardware integration, including experience with interfacing sensors, actuators, and other peripherals
  • Able to perform basic soldering, harness build up and installation including wire stripping and crimping, fault isolation and repair of avionics systems malfunctions
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Able to work extended hours as required
  • Strong familiarity with Pixhawk, PX4 and/or other flight controllers
  • Obtain and maintain a FAA part 107 certificate
Responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve software and hardware issues
  • Integrate new hardware and software components into new and existing systems
  • Evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Configure a mesh network to enable system-to-system communication for testing and evaluation purposes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure test requirements are met
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members
  • Lead Flight Test Operations as an RPIC by ensuring aircraft readiness, creating mission profiles, and adhering to safety protocols
