GenScript joins Lilly TuneLab to advance ai-enabled drug discovery. September 16, 2026 GenScript to offer wet lab data generation services to biotech companies using the TuneLab drug discovery platform GenScript Biotech Corporation today announced an agreement with Lilly TuneLab(TM), a collaborative AI/ML drug discovery platform created by Eli Lilly and Company (Lilly). Through the agreement, GenScript will offer preferred-rate wet lab services to TuneLab member companies, helping them rapidly generate experimental data and translate AI-generated predictions into biological evidence. Lilly TuneLab provides participating biotech companies access to AI/ML models trained on decades of Lilly's research data, including models that predict antibody developability properties and small molecule ADMET properties. Hosted by a third party and using federated learning, the platform allows biotechs to contribute experimental results back to improve the models. GenScript can then help companies turn AI-enabled predictions into wet lab data by expressing, purifying, and characterizing prioritized sequences under standardized, fully documented protocols, helping to accelerate candidate evaluation. "AI-enabled drug discovery will advance only as fast as the industry can generate reliable biological evidence," said Ray Chen, President of GenScript Life Science Group. "The industry's next leap requires connecting AI prediction, wet-lab production, and testing at a scale that fragmented solutions simply cannot match. By helping researchers rapidly transform promising sequences into actionable experimental data, we can help close one of the critical gaps between AI insight and therapeutic discovery." Lilly TuneLab is part of Lilly Catalyze360, alongside Lilly Ventures, Lilly Gateway Labs, and Lilly ExploR&D, which together support biotech innovation by providing access to strategic capital, lab space and technology, and research and development capabilities. Backed by more than two decades of drug discovery and biologics experience, GenScript is building the scale and infrastructure needed to make laboratory testing a practical extension of AI-enabled discovery. Its end-to-end sequence-to-data capabilities help researchers identify promising candidates earlier, allocate resources more effectively and, ultimately, move stronger therapeutic programs toward patients.
Genscript Biotech has entered into a placing agreement to issue 77,126,000 new shares at HK$30.50 each to at least six professional or institutional investors, raising estimated net proceeds of about HK$2.33 billion. Genscript shares slump 12pc on proposed spinoff of Probio Technology. 4 hours ago GenScript Biotech Corporation. GenScript Biotech Corporation (1548) saw its shares plunge nearly 12 percent in early trading on Friday after announcing a proposed spin-off and separate listing of its subsidiary Probio Technology on the main borad. The arm operates Genscript's biologics and advanced therapy contract research, development, and manufacturing organization services, according to an exchange filing. The company said it submitted an application to the Stock Exchange on August 14, while details of the proposed spin-off have yet to be finalized After the proposed spin-off is completed, the biotech firm noted that it will continue to hold a controlling interest in ProBio, which will remain a subsidiary of the company, and its financial results will continue to be consolidated into the group's financial statements.
GenScript reports 27.3% First-Half 2026 revenue growth as AI Drug Discovery business doubles. GenScript Biotech Corporation 2026-08-18 22:15 332 Adjusted net profit surges 203.3% as Gene-to-Protein generates two-thirds of GenScript Life Science Group revenue PISCATAWAY, N.J., Aug. 18, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - GenScript Biotech Corporation (HKEX: 1548) reported first-half revenue of approximately US$404.2 million on a comparable basis, up 27.3% year over year, while adjusted net profit rose 203.3% to approximately US$62.5 million. The results reflect strong growth across its core businesses, improved operating efficiency, and accelerating demand for AI-enabled drug discovery services. GenScript Biotech Corporation reports 27.3% revenue growth in the first half of 2026. The AI-enabled drug discovery business doubled year over year and maintained rapid growth for a third consecutive half-year reporting period, driven by demand from AI-focused biotechnology companies and pharmaceutical innovators. Gene-to-Protein accounted for approximately 66% of GenScript Life Science Group revenue and remained the company's primary growth engine. GenScript's Gene-to-Protein platform combines scientific expertise, automation, and global manufacturing capacity in an integrated workflow spanning discovery, experimental validation, early development, and production support. As AI increases the scale and complexity of drug discovery, these capabilities help customers validate candidates and advance programs with greater speed and reliability. "Our first-half results reflect strong execution across the portfolio, with our core businesses driving both revenue growth and improved profitability," said Sherry Shao, Rotating CEO of GenScript. "We see significant long-term opportunity as AI reshapes life sciences and increases demand for experimental validation and development services. By expanding our global Gene-to-Protein platform, automation, digital manufacturing, and delivery network, we are strengthening GenScript's role as a critical infrastructure partner for AI-enabled drug discovery."
