  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering
  • 5 or more years of experience in aerospace or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Experience with design feasibility and analysis for trade studies
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 23/25 regulatory requirements
  • Experience creating 3D Catia V5 or V6 models
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience integrating mechanical systems in aircraft or propulsion systems
  • Knowledge of aircraft and propulsion subsystems and components
  • Knowledge of structural considerations for rough sizing and layout of systems
Responsibilities
  • Create 3D layouts of IPPS components and assemblies
  • Conduct trade studies to identify best solution for the Symphony IPPS
  • Define requirements and applicable design for subsystems to ensure compliance with 14CFR Part 25 regulatory certification requirements
  • Collaborate with other team members and suppliers throughout the design, integration, and certification activities
  • Collaborate with cross functional team(s) to develop and validate interface requirements
  • Provide innovative solutions to technical challenges encountered
  • Make technical decisions with moderate supervision
  • Support the planning and development of wind tunnel test articles
