Requirements
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Air Force Supply Chain Management.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting logistics planning, coordination, or program execution in a military or defense environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce professional guidance, reports, memorandums, and briefings.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple functional areas and maintain visibility on competing priorities and schedules.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Previous Logistics Management Specialist experience in either a contractor or government setting.
  • Experience with and knowledge of DoD 4140.1-R, AFMCI 23-101, AFMAN 23-110, AFMCM 65-33, D220 User Guide, DoD 4140.26-M, DoD 4100.39-M, and AFMCM 23-3.
  • Proficiency with web tools, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
  • Expert functional and technical skills as required.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft logistics, maintenance, and sustainment operations.
  • Ability to track multiple actions simultaneously and ensure timely follow-through.
  • Skill in preparing executive-level written products and oral briefings.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify conflicts and recommend solutions in complex operational environments.
  • Professional judgment and the ability to communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
  • Advise on strategic sustainment acquisition phases for assigned systems, programs, or major equipment.
  • Lead members and stakeholders in implementing sourcing strategies using the eight-step strategic sourcing process and continuous process improvements to streamline contractual efforts.
  • Conduct analyses of past, current, and future performance and spend data to select the best overall strategy for the portfolio.
  • Perform all facets of Logistics Management Specialist series 0346 principles, procedures, techniques, and practices associated with Air Force Supply Chain Management workload.
  • Provide experience and insight in working with government systems and processes.
  • Work with Integrated Product Teams on weapons systems, subsystems, or programs to analyze installation and Major Command planning and programming documents and determine the nature and scope of acquisition and sustainment efforts.
  • Provide assistance and guidance on logistics systems and processes to personnel in the assigned area.
  • Perform supply-chain management systems and process activities, including developing tactical and strategic acquisition strategies.
  • Support development of Requirements Approval Documents.
  • Provide assistance and guidance in using the Purchase Request Process System, Wide Area Work Flow, Logistics Installations and Mission Support Enterprise View, Defense Logistics Agency Asset Visibility, Commercial Asset Visibility Air Force, and Planning for DLA Managed Consumables/Demand Data Exchange systems.
  • Develop or assist with program continuity books, lead Integrated Product Teams, perform the eight-step problem-solving process, and develop bullet background papers, retention letters, packages, and market research reports.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting installation-level bed-down, deployment, or mission transition activities.
  • Associate's degree, with a Bachelor's degree preferred, or a combination of education and work-related experience; a Community College of the Air Force degree may substitute for an Associate's degree from a college or university.
  • Familiarity with aircraft sustainment planning processes and Air Force Materiel Command Supply Chain processes.
  • Experience working with Wing and Major Command-level supply-chain entities.
  • Background in Air Force or defense logistics environments.
  • Ability to support senior leaders with concise, accurate, and timely information.
