  • Ability to read geotechnical reports and translate soil and seismic data into structural design actions.
  • Ability to coordinate with civil, geotechnical, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams and manage external engineers of record through issued-for-construction milestones.
  • Knowledge of foundations, structural steel, and building envelope systems for large-format buildings.
  • Ability to identify structural cost and constructability risks early in site selection.

Responsibilities

  • Support the structural engineering workstream across a multi-site development portfolio from site screening through design, permitting, and construction completion.
  • Support structural due diligence for greenfield and conversion sites, including foundation conditions, existing-structure assessments, and geotechnical constraints.
  • Review geotechnical reports and assign structural design actions based on soil bearing capacities, settlement risk, and seismic classification.
  • Develop and maintain the structural basis of design, standard details, and specifications, coordinating with civil, geotechnical, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams.
  • Manage external structural engineers of record through design milestones and review deliverables for quality through issued for construction.
  • Identify structural cost risks during site selection, including retrofit complexity on conversions.

About the Company

FluidStack

Builds and runs GPU clusters for AI labs

Fluidstack provides large clusters of GPU servers to AI labs training advanced models, and it builds custom data centers for customers that outgrow existing facilities. In 2025, Anthropic chose Fluidstack to build data centers in Texas and New York as part of a $50 billion investment in American AI infrastructure. Labs pay for dedicated clusters of Nvidia GPUs, sometimes tens of thousands of chips, housed in partner data centers around the world. They reach the clusters through a web console or API, while Fluidstack runs the hardware, networking, and day-to-day operations. Fluidstack was founded in London in 2017 and has its headquarters in New York.
