About the job
- At least 2 years of experience in a building information modeling (BIM) environment.
- At least 2 years of working knowledge of the latest versions of Autodesk Revit.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor software issues independently.

- Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, submittals, and codes required to perform the work.

- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and reach, and lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Lead production of installation, prefabrication, and other supporting drawings to Royal R-series standards.
- Understand assigned tasks thoroughly and maintain communication with the VDC Coordinator and Supervisor.
- Identify new methods and workflows to optimize team output, meet deadlines, and maintain budgets.
- Mentor junior modelers in the detailing team to ensure Royal standards are adopted.
- Use Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Evolve Electrical, and Bluebeam to perform the work.
- Learn new techniques and software, and independently troubleshoot software using available tools.
- Read plans, specifications, submittals, and codes; apply trade and construction knowledge to the work.
- Seek guidance from VDC Coordinators, Layout Specialists, and Foremen on trade knowledge or field experience.
- Review work for appropriate use of construction materials and methods.
- Bring difficult issues to team members for guidance and clarify needs to others.
- Follow directions, keep notes, and set daily and weekly goals.
- Keep the digital workspace organized, including organizing the model browser and deleting unnecessary views and sheets.
- Follow department file management policies so files and digital assets are accessible to department members.
- At least 2 years of experience working with BIM 360, Navisworks, Trimble, and Bluebeam.
