Facilities Maintenance Specialist
About the job
- 5–10+ years of hands-on experience maintaining material handling or industrial systems, PLC controls, or robotics.
- Proficiency with PLC troubleshooting, such as Siemens or Allen-Bradley systems.
- Strong knowledge of industrial sensors, motor controls, and actuators.
- Ability to work in an industrial environment, lift heavy components, and work at heights.
- Ability to support a 24/7 distribution operation, with potential day, evening, overnight, or weekend shift assignments.
- Maximize the uptime, efficiency, and longevity of material handling systems and industrial machinery through preventive maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of PLCs, sensors, and control systems.
- Diagnose and repair complex faults in conveyors, robotics, PLC control panels, and variable frequency drives through electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic pathways.
- Perform routine inspections and predictive maintenance, including thermography and vibration analysis, to identify potential component failures.
- Lead or assist in root-cause analysis investigations for chronic equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed logs of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts usage in a computerized maintenance management system.
- Uphold safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout, robot safety standards, and machine guarding.
- A bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Experience in high-volume, automated logistics, distribution, or manufacturing.
