Electrical Validation Supervisor
About the job
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is required.
- At least 5 years of experience related to automotive assembly technology supervision is required.
- Knowledge of Controller Area Network software is required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Google Suite is required.
- Good project management and problem-solving skills are required.
- The ability to work independently and any shift, including overtime, is required.
- The ability to work overtime, including nights and weekends, and travel domestically and internationally is required.
- Supervise salaried bargaining-unit process engineers developing process tooling for trim, chassis, and final operations from vehicle design concept through in-plant vehicle launch.
- Champion data-driven decisions.
- Manage complex projects from beginning to end while meeting project budget and timing targets.
- Manage issues and drive root-cause analysis using Fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, Failure Modes and Effects Analyses, Pareto charts, histograms, Six Sigma, and Red X.
- Direct design-for-manufacturing concepts throughout projects and develop a team atmosphere that empowers direct reports to take ownership of their processes.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or automotive technology is preferred.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are preferred.
- At least 5 years of supervision experience in automotive manufacturing assembly is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in Focused Problem Solving using Kaizen methodology is preferred.
- Experience in electrical and/or torque is strongly desired.
- Experience with vehicle Controller Area Network and CAN-FD networks and diagnostic tools is preferred.
