Requirements
  • Academic background in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related STEM field.
  • 4+ years of proven software Product Management experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in information retrieval and search systems.
  • 2+ years of experience in the machine learning & data science space, ideally hands-on.
  • Experience in Python or related languages for data analytics and machine learning.
  • Product taste - you have a demonstrated passion for user experience and for solving customer problems and delivering software that delights users.
  • Understand modern machine learning technologies and platforms - you understand what it takes to build & maintain AI systems that work at scale.
  • Technical acumen – you can have credible conversations with engineer stakeholders about technical tradeoffs, technologies, scalability, etc.
  • Strategic thinker, analytical, detail-oriented, and results-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated self-starter able to translate uncertainty and ambiguity into clear, crisp plans. Ability to develop a strong point of view and collaborate with humility and diplomacy to drive your vision forward.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of Seismic’s product, its customers’ problems, and the Sales Enablement space to deliver solutions that drive growth and customer retention & delight.
  • Translate product strategy into roadmaps that are informed by input from customers, cross-functional stakeholders, market and competitive research.
  • Build a business case for investment, integrating usability studies, research, and market/competitive analysis to articulate initiative recommendations and trade-offs to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop specifications, negotiate & define scopes, and partner with our design, engineering, and data science teams to deliver new capabilities to our customers.
  • Work hands on with data scientists to build AI & ML models and applications, both from a strategic and tactical perspective, assessing tradeoffs and evaluating results.
  • Define and analyze key metrics that inform decision making and measure success of product initiatives.
  • Support the go-to-market process and collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales and Customer Success to achieve launch readiness and drive adoption.
  • Engage with customers on security and privacy matters pertaining to deploying AI models in regulated and non-regulated industries.

Seattle's Highspot merges with rival Seismic in major sales software deal

Seattle-based Highspot is merging with rival Seismic in a major sales enablement software deal. The combined company will operate under the Seismic name and be led by Seismic CEO Rob Tarkoff, whilst Highspot founder Robert Wahbe will join the board. Permira, which has backed San Diego-based Seismic since 2020, will remain the controlling shareholder. Financial terms were not disclosed. The merger unites two leading players in revenue enablement software, which helps sales, marketing and customer success teams manage content, training and analytics. Highspot, founded in 2011, ranks first on GeekWire 200's list of Pacific Northwest tech companies and employs over 1,000 people. Its most recent valuation was $3.5 billion in 2022, when it raised $248 million. Seismic reached a $3 billion valuation in 2021 and serves approximately 2,000 customers globally.
