- A high school education or equivalent is required.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
- Availability to work two Saturdays per month from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. is required.
- Ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, especially for telephone calls, follow-ups, and in-person correspondence.
- A valid unrestricted driver's license is required.
- Ability to pass a seven-year criminal background check is required.
- Ability to pass substance abuse testing is required.
- Ability to pass a three-year motor vehicle report and meet the insurance carrier's minimum eligibility criteria is required.
- Maintain service schedules for all customers on the assigned route and call customers before service.
- Diagnose and discuss the scope of pest-control and fertilization services with customers.
- Communicate with sales staff to meet client expectations.
- Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
- Monitor lawn quality and fertilization methods after application and communicate progress to customers and operations managers.
- Complete and submit service-related paperwork in a timely and orderly manner.
- Complete initial technical training and participate in regular update training to remain current with proven practices and methods for determining efficient solutions for customer needs.
- Follow all driving laws and company policies when operating company vehicles.
- Maintain the assigned service vehicle, equipment, and tools in clean and good working condition.
- Participate in collections efforts.
- Complete additional projects as assigned.
- Strong customer-service and people skills to build trust and create positive customer experiences.
