Requirements
  • Eligible candidates must be rising senior undergraduate students who graduate in 2028.
  • Enrollment in a bachelor's program is required.
  • Candidates must have knowledge of computers and various Microsoft Office applications.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently.
  • Candidates must have good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidates must be able to provide statistical analysis.
Responsibilities
  • Perform accounting and budgeting functions that support the efficiency and effectiveness of the hospital.
  • Work with members of the budget department to learn hospital operating budget processes and methodologies.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts, track expenses, review labor reports, and conduct reconciliation activities as needed.
  • Work on special data-oriented projects.
  • Present project results to senior leadership, project hosts, and mentors at the end of the program.
  • Participate in hospital tours and volunteer opportunities as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, healthcare management, or a related area.
  • An interest in finance and healthcare.
  • Completion of finance or accounting courses.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Good judgment and discretion when working with confidential information.
