  • Proficiency with computer-based applications including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and electronic health records.
  • Master's degree in social work or counseling, or a related field.
  • Active and unrestricted Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, and/or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Bilingual Spanish fluency, including passing the required fluency test and demonstrating excellent written and spoken skills.
  • A valid and unrestricted Arizona driver's license and eligibility under the organization's liability auto policy.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and obtaining and maintaining a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Successful completion of employment and random substance-abuse testing.
  • An updated immunization record.
  • A current tuberculosis skin report at employment and annual updates.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 90 calendar days of employment and maintenance of certification.
Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide therapeutic counseling services to individuals, families, and groups with general mental health and substance use concerns within the counselor's scope of education, training, licensure, and privileging.
  • Provide behavioral-health prevention and education services to the primarily Spanish-speaking community.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation and billing, and support program audits.
  • Participate in case-staffing meetings and peer-review sessions.
  • Collaborate with care-team members and internal and external healthcare providers to facilitate care and follow-up for shared patients.
  • Support the organization's needs as assigned.
  • Model professionalism, integrity, and ethical principles.
  • Plan and complete assigned work within established cost and time limits.
  • Complete assigned Relias and other health-promotion and disease-prevention training on time.
  • Promote the organization's core values and mission.
  • Exercise discretion, diplomacy, and tact in customer transactions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three years of specialized experience in mental health and/or substance abuse with diverse populations.
  • Experience working with underserved populations.
