Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 (2024-2025)

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

Nature of Work

Presentation of weekly problem solving sessions, marking of assignments, and weekly office hours. Proctoring exams

Minimum qualifications 

Minimum C.G.P.A. of 8.0;

Minimum grade of A- in each of ADM 2303 and ADM 2304 or their equivalents;

Ability to demonstrate problem solutions and to communicate effectively in a laboratory setting;

Strong understanding of applied statistical methods in a business context

Demonstrated ability to solve applied statistical problems accurately and efficiently

Ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear, structured feedback

Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently

Demonstrated knowledge of StatCrunch statistical software.

Experince as TA of the course in previous terms considered an assest;

Experience with online course delivery considered an asset

Experience with online videoconferencing environment considered an asset (ex. Microsoft Teams, Zoom)

Comments

Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in Telfer program

Preference will be given to candidates who have previously been teaching assistants or markers for this course

Candidates on short list may be interviewed by course professor/coordinator.

Please note that the posted hours could be increased due to registration.

Contract hours may be reallocated among different tasks, which the professor may adjust over the course of the semester.

Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course (with the exception of official University holidays), including through the grading of the final exam and calculation of final grades by the professor.
