- Proficiency in engineering solutions across compute, storage, network, database management systems, identity and access management including secrets management and public key infrastructure, Amazon Web Services, and Kubernetes-based compute.
- Experience with hypervisors, operating systems, host-based firewalls, application stacks, networks, and identity and access management.
- Experience with Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, OpenShift or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, software-defined networking, identity federation, multi-region access and disaster recovery, and F5 Global Traffic Manager.
- Understanding of AWS Landing Zone fundamentals, including account structure, virtual private clouds, security groups, Cloud WAN, PrivateLink and VPC endpoint connectors, Elastic Block Store, Elastic File System, FSx, Simple Storage Service, and Network Load Balancer.
- Understanding and experience in database services delivery and availability, including AWS Relational Database Service and AWS Aurora Global.
- Experience integrating shared service applications and products such as Apigee API Gateway, PING reverse proxy, Redis database and caching, Confluent Kafka streaming, IBM MQ message queue, HashiCorp Vault secrets management, and Snowflake database access.
- At least 5 years of experience in an infrastructure engineering discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in cross-functional engineering spanning compute, storage, network, database management systems, shared services integration, and the AWS platform.
- Work with application developers and application architects to translate logical application designs into infrastructure-aligned deployments.
- Create detailed technical designs, diagrams, and bills of materials for engineering teams to use in build and deployment and as artifacts for post-deployment testing and validation.
- A Bachelor's degree.
