Requirements
  • A PhD or PsyD degree or foreign equivalent is required.
  • Eligibility for a state psychology license is required.
  • Completion of an American Psychological Association or Canadian Psychological Association accredited clinical psychology graduate program is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and evidence-based treatment for adults with a range of psychiatric diagnoses, including patients with forensic involvement.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, clinical social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Supervise and mentor West Virginia University Psychiatry residents, forensic fellows, and trainees from other disciplines as needed.
  • Support the hospital's commitment to quality care for involuntarily committed patients by fostering recovery and rehabilitation.
