Requirements
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. (or equivalent work experience.)
  • Proven experience as a software developer with expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to details
  • 15+ years of increasing technical work experience, with previous experience in a team leadership or senior developer role
  • Experience leading technology and software development teams, including onshore, nearshore, and offshore
  • Experience balancing competing priorities across a broad range of accounts/portfolios/practices
  • Strong executive presence, communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate and communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated competency in building software/product businesses and business development
  • Ability to travel to client site
  • Ability to work from home
  • Ability to work non-standard work hours as necessary

Responsibilities
  • Enables Point B to stay ahead by continually evaluating emerging technologies that apply to our customers and our business
  • Works with our customers and Point B leadership to develop products, solutions, and business cases that enable new delivery and operating models
  • Lead Applied R&D and co-creation engagements at and with customers, evaluating innovations and emerging technology in the context of high-quality customer delivery, managing communications and stakeholder expectations and delivering with excellence
  • Creates technology POV's that allow Point B to view trends over time and speak to the application of technologies within the client setting
  • Manages communications and expectations of stakeholders (customers or other), identifies potential risks, develops mitigation strategies, and recommends key decisions for projects, and collaborates with Point B's Industry, Solutions, Technology, IT, and Research teams to ensure Point B is delivering with excellence
  • Identifies and supports early test and learn opportunities and market analysis efforts
  • Collaborates with Services leadership to evaluate opportunities, sell, and deliver innovative solutions for customers, including generating leads, closing deals, and partnering with Sales Directors and Account Leaders to exceed customer expectations on delivery
  • Drives execution of the functional plan to meet expectations for KPI's and sales growth
  • Provides innovative expertise that informs, shapes and improves customer engagements or solution design
  • Engages in community and industry organizations to drive growth for Point B, develops thought leadership and customer insight articles, and represents Point B by presenting at customer facing events
  • Understand our clients' needs with an ability to offer innovative solutions enabled by emerging technologies to help solve complex challenges
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on key engagements, including serving as our customer's expert leader and advisor on their most strategic projects, earning loyalty through superior service and responsiveness, and actively finding ways to demonstrate Point B's expertise
  • Identifies and leads engagements where Point B and clients are evaluating emerging technologies through paid/sponsored collaboration
  • Establishes a close partnership with IT team (to identify opportunities to test new technologies within our own organization), the product team (to develop new or enhance existing offerings), and teams across Inc to continue to evolve our capabilities
  • Collaborates with Tech Build leadership in strategic planning
  • Makes hiring, promotion, compensation and termination decisions for team members
  • Develops others through performance management, consistent feedback, and development opportunities that help them achieve their professional goals
  • Develops employees' professional skills and provides career mentorship
  • Grows and develops personal leadership skills
  • Builds and manages a versatile team that can share information and quickly and effectively pivot to meet emerging business and operational needs
  • Consistently demonstrates and lives Point B leadership and cultural tenets and values, and serves as a connection point for team members to the firm and the team
