  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in system and network administration, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Active Directory, switching, routing, IT cabling, patch panels, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of server and desktop operating systems and applications.
  • Ability to analyze and suggest recommended improvements to industrial control system programs and systems to meet industry standards and best practices.
  • Strong IT customer support skills, including the ability to quickly interpret and decipher requests and trouble reports from large non-IT customer bases.
  • Ability to work varying shifts as required and independently on shifts after initial training.
  • Familiarity with network security best practices.
  • DOD 8140/8570.01 certification, such as CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Experience maintaining essential IT and OT network operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, and workstations.
  • Familiarity with security systems, including security groups, group policy, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering.
  • Must have an active Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to upgrade to Top Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper configuration and maintenance of servers, operating systems, desktops, intercom, video dissemination, file shares, Active Directory, routers, switches, firewalls, cryptographic equipment, and other communications equipment supporting the system enterprise.
  • Interface directly with Air Force, Department of Defense, and other contractor communication maintenance personnel for Ground Control Stations, the Unified Video Distribution System, and long-haul communications supporting system enterprise connectivity.
  • Comply with Department of Defense, Air Force, and Intelligence Community computer and network security protocols and advise the appropriate Information Assurance Officer when unauthorized hardware or software is detected.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain RPA-SOC computer and network systems, including LAN/WAN communications, firewalls, Microsoft Windows operating systems, and networks.
  • Administer network security infrastructure systems.
  • Administer Check Point firewalls and other security systems.
  • Coordinate system updates to minimize security vulnerabilities and risk.
  • Establish baselines and provide metrics and regular reporting as directed.
  • Respond to alerts, take corrective action, perform root cause analysis, and suggest improvements.
  • Maintain logs, databases, and system history to perform trending analysis and take proactive steps to ensure proper system operation.
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections on IT systems.
  • Maintain tools needed to execute assigned duties.
  • Maintain current system documentation.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Site Lead.
