Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or another technical or STEM field, or comparable work experience.
  • Two to eight years of experience in product, operations, consulting, or startup environments.
  • Direct experience as a product manager, technical program manager, founder, or technical operator accountable for outcomes.
  • Highly proficient in SQL and able to develop lightweight prototypes end-to-end.
  • A track record of building personal tools in operationally complex roles, or taking a messy business problem from data foundation through analysis to implementation.
  • Ability to identify leverage points and design systems for scale and durability.
  • Strong product intuition and ability to work with engineers and researchers to reach effective solutions quickly.
  • Ability to execute quickly, pay close attention to detail, and maintain high quality.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and take a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities
  • Own the strategy and roadmap for an area of the Data Factory, from zero-to-one prototypes through scaled production systems.
  • Lead complex operational efforts and design workflows and automation that enable them to scale.
  • Build the first version of scripts, queries, dashboards, and prototypes, then partner with engineering to implement them at scale.
  • Translate customer-relevant model capabilities into concrete workflows, requirements, and project plans.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Research to focus the team on priority problems and take new systems from idea to deployment.
  • Use data to guide decisions, diagnose issues, and measure performance against throughput, quality, and cost.
  • Determine when to move quickly and when to slow down for alignment, while favoring rapid prototyping.
  • Take full-stack accountability across product, operations, engineering, and customers, solving bottlenecks and ensuring delivery.
