About the job
- Must be available on at least two of the listed weekday morning schedules.
- Must be willing to travel to local schools within North Oakland County, Michigan.
- Must be at least 20 years old.
- Must submit to fingerprinting and pass a Michigan comprehensive background check.
- Must have CPR/First Aid certification.
- Must have experience working with preschool-age children, such as as a preschool teacher, camp counselor, elementary education substitute teacher, or coach.
- Must have a passion for sports and fitness.
- Must have a background in fitness, athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, exercise science, kinesiology, or physical education.
- Must be able to communicate with potential parents, teachers, or others about the program and its benefits; sales experience is requested.
- Must be able to use Google Drive, Google Calendar, and other smartphone apps.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to class locations.
- Must be available for a long-term commitment to developing within the company.
- Must be available to start and train for a few hours each week immediately.
- Must be able to carry 50 pounds.
- Arrive early and prepared to teach each class, allowing for commuting time.
- Teach energetic, motivating classes, connecting with and challenging each child to help accomplish motor-development goals and develop a love of movement and healthy habits.
- Build positive relationships with parents, teachers, directors, and children, and communicate with parents.
- Teach and conduct classes in an organized, structured, and engaging manner.
- Engage every child in every class.
- Understand and fulfill supervision responsibilities while children are in the coach's care.
- Travel to different schools and daycare centers in the listed territory to teach the basic fundamentals of 10 sports to children ages 18 months to 12 years.
- Begin with training in the Amazing Athletes methods, demonstrate those methods at childcare centers, start new classes, enroll students, and work to grow classes.
- Commitment to both weekday shifts is preferred.
