  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting, consolidations, and eliminations
  • Experience leading or reviewing month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Background working with large ERP systems and accounting applications
  • Proven ability to manage priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience leading or supporting accounting system implementations, upgrades, or process improvements
Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the monthly accounting close, eliminations, and consolidation processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals while providing guidance on complex close and accounting matters
  • Partner across accounting and cross-functional teams to meet key close milestones and maintain strong internal controls
  • Coordinate and review journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, and variance analyses, while ensuring compliance with company policies and GAAP
  • Lead strategic initiatives such as close automation, SOX compliance efforts, system upgrades, acquisitions, and changes to legal entity reporting structures
  • As the functional administrator for close applications, collaborate with Technology and vendors, support enhancements, and develop end-user documentation and training

  • CPA or Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and financial analysis
  • Advanced proficiency with financial systems and accounting applications
  • Strong attention to detail with a results-focused mindset
  • Effective planning, organizing, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Clear, confident interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities under pressure

Brookfield Infrastructure Partners (BIP) will acquire Colonial Enterprises, owner of Colonial Pipeline, for $9 billion. The deal values Shell Midstream's share at $1.45 billion.
