- Experience handling a high volume of phone calls.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform administrative and clerical tasks in an office and service center environment, including prolonged sitting, standing, walking, light lifting, reaching, and handling office materials or freight-related items.
- Assist customers with freight pickup requests, rate quotes, freight charges, hot shipments, shipment tracing, appointments, and special requests.
- Assist the Service Center Manager.
- Take and deliver messages for the Service Center Manager and Account Managers.
- Provide assistance to drivers.
- Prepare bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Communicate with external and internal customers and interline companies.
- Assist with payroll, data entry, freight reports, driver collect reports, billing, and filing as needed.
