Responsibilities
  • Learn fundamental calibration skills and techniques.
  • Develop the skills necessary to perform calibrations independently.
  • Develop the skills necessary to advance to the Calibration Technician II position, including working knowledge and competency in at least four disciplines and expert competency in one discipline.
  • Deliver on Transcat's Quality Policy (QAC-F01-001).
  • Work with other technicians in the laboratory to learn calibration fundamentals, including measurement, temperature, and electronics.
  • Identify and use appropriate measurement techniques.
  • Maintain calibration standards.
  • Maintain working knowledge and competency in at least three disciplines, such as dimensional, electrical, torque, temperature, and pressure.
  • Perform calibration work in a laboratory setting and/or while supervised at a customer site.
  • Fulfill duties safely under working conditions in accordance with company requirements and standards.
  • Travel 25–50% of the work schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
