Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- A valid driver's license must be maintained throughout employment, and the employee must immediately notify the City of changes to the license status.
- One of the following education and experience combinations is required: an associate degree in accounting or business from an accredited college or university and at least three years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, accounting, or sales tax processing; or a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, accounting, or sales tax processing.
- License restrictions that may hinder the ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, may result in disqualification.
Responsibilities
- Process customer tax returns and payments.
- Reconcile batches to payments.
- Create new taxpayer accounts.
- Troubleshoot customers' accounts.
- Assist customers with sales and use tax information by phone, email, and in person.
- Work independently and take initiative in providing customer service.
