Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience advising middle-market companies on strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and other corporate finance solutions.
  • Strong understanding of commercial banking, relationship management models, credit dynamics, and how strategic opportunities emerge within banking portfolios.
  • Experience presenting market insights, developing educational content, or acting as a subject-matter expert.
  • Proven ability to vet, qualify, and prioritize inbound opportunities within a large financial institution or investment banking environment.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence effectively across Commercial Banking, Wealth, and Capital Markets & Advisory teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging with business owners, executives, internal partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Series 79 and Series 63 licenses are required.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Commercial Banking and Capital Markets & Advisory to ensure alignment, clear communication, and consistent qualification of potential opportunities.
  • Vet and qualify leads originating from Commercial Banking by evaluating strategic fit, client readiness, and transaction feasibility before connecting opportunities to the Capital Markets & Advisory platform.
  • Partner with commercial banking and wealth teams to deliver strategic guidance to middle-market business owners exploring growth, succession, and liquidity planning.
  • Build relationships with family-owned, entrepreneur-led, and privately held businesses to understand their goals, transition needs, and long-term objectives.
  • Advise clients on strategic alternatives, including mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, minority and majority capital solutions, and capital-raising options.
  • Drive new advisory opportunities through proactive outreach, thought leadership, and targeted client engagement.
  • Maintain an active, transparent pipeline to support ongoing deal flow and alignment across internal partners.
  • Provide market insights, valuation perspectives, and subject-matter expertise to internal partners and clients.
  • Collaborate with product specialists to identify qualified buyers, investors, and capital partners and support execution through the full deal lifecycle.
  • Ensure an exceptional client experience through strategic advocacy, high-touch engagement, and clear, consistent communication.

NewPower Worldwide expands credit facility to $750M to support global growth

NewPower Worldwide, an electronics distributor, has expanded its committed credit facility to $750 million. The increased capacity will enable the company to invest in inventory, support customer growth, and capitalise on global supply chain opportunities. Since its founding in 2014, NewPower has grown to 14 offices across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, with $5 billion in annual sales and more than $1 billion in inventory worldwide. The facility expansion strengthens the company's ability to purchase strategically and support large-scale customer requirements. Chief executive officer Carleton Dufoe said the expanded facility provides additional capacity to secure inventory and respond faster to market opportunities. Citizens led the increased credit facility to support NewPower's growth objectives. The New Hampshire-based company distributes electronic components and finished goods to OEMs, EMS providers, and supply chain partners worldwide.
