The Unwell YouTube Channel Manager will oversee the strategy, growth, and day-to-day management of our network YouTube channels. This role involves optimizing content for audience engagement, maximizing reach and revenue, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring consistent brand identity. The ideal candidate is creative, data driven, and highly organized, with a strong understanding of YouTube algorithms, video trends, and digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Channel Management:
Develop and execute strategies to grow channel subscribers, views, and engagement.
Ensure the channel adheres to brand guidelines, tone, and quality standards.
Manage playlists, upload schedules, and video metadata (titles, tags, descriptions).
Content Optimization:
Optimize video performance using SEO techniques (keywords, thumbnails, tags)
Research trending topics to guide content creation and ideation.
Collaborate with video creators, editors, and graphic designers to enhance video quality and presentation.
Analytics and Reporting:
Analyze performance metrics using YouTube Studio, Google Analytics, and other tools.
Prepare regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
Monitor audience behavior, demographic data, and competitor performance.
Monetization and Partnerships:
Manage monetization strategies, including AdSense revenue, sponsorships, and affiliate partnerships.
Identify opportunities for brand collaborations and influencer partnerships.
Explore new revenue streams like memberships, merchandise, or super chats.
Engagement and Community Management:
Monitor and respond to audience comments and questions.
Build and maintain a loyal audience by fostering community interaction.
Develop strategies to boost likes, shares, and subscriber engagement.
Staying Updated:
Stay informed about YouTube’s algorithm updates, policies, and industry trends.
Test new features and formats, such as Shorts or live streams, to drive growth.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
Proven experience managing a YouTube channel or working in a related role (social media management, digital marketing, content production).
Familiarity with YouTube Studio, editing software, and analytics tools.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of YouTube algorithms, SEO, and video production processes.
Proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere, Canva, or Final Cut Pro (a plus).
Creative & Analytical:
Ability to brainstorm and execute creative video ideas.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics and implement strategies.
