COMPENSATION & LOCATION

The compensation for this role is $25 per hour.

This position based out of our Elk Grove Village, Illinois location.

POSITION SUMMARY

Contacts patients, family members, and/or caregivers to schedule a delivery and determine supply needs; May assist to pick and pack medication and or medical supplies to fill patient orders; accurately enters data for prescriptions into the computer system. Completes process for order to ship to patient. Contacts patients to refill medication order. Assists the pharmacist with completing the order to ship. 

• Establish and continually build rapport with patient base  

• Monitor compliance/persistence of medications 

• Triage patients to pharmacists when needed 

• Provide customer service to internal and external customers  

• Process and verify patient information, benefits, and pay options as needed 

• Respond to requests from patients to refill medication orders 

• Enter and update changes to the patient’s medical records or orders into systems 

• Update tracking logs with order status and shipping information 

• Use pharmacy systems to complete workflow for end to end order process. 

• Ensure timely processing of all patient orders per committed time frames 

• May assist with pick and package, and ship patient orders 

• Work in collaboration with admissions and physician offices 

• Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Required 

• Ability to work well in a team environment and provide support to other team members 

• Detail oriented, ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and work accurately in a fast paced environment. Knowledge of multiple therapies and cross functionally trained 
• Other duties and responsibilities as required.

• 3+ year experience in pharmacy setting  

• Pharmacy Technician State License  

• National Technician Certification – required  

• Specialty Pharmacy experience – preferred  

• Customer Service with patients in a pharmacy setting  

• Experience with data entry and computer system prescription and medical records  

• Meets or exceeds all performance metrics and goals of department  

• Able to multi-task and complete work accurately with attention to detail. Can lead team in absence of supervisor/manager
