- Several years of experience in Cloud Platform Engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or Cloud Operations, with a focus on Azure.
- Successful experience leading teams in complex technology environments and developing people, technologies, and strategic topics.
- Strong knowledge of Azure, Kubernetes, and modern database technologies.
- Ability to transparently assess technical options based on cost, risk, benefit, and scalability, and derive sustainable decisions.
- Professionalize the growing cloud-native platform, develop the Kafka stack into a scalable enterprise platform, and establish infrastructure for the organization's AI initiatives.
- Shape standards, governance structures, and platform services so new technologies can be used securely, scalably, and across the enterprise.
- Lead a 16-person Cloud Engineering team and be accountable for its professional, disciplinary, and strategic development.
- Set the technological direction for Azure, Kubernetes, Linux, and Kafka, and make architecture and technology decisions.
- Continuously develop platform services and ensure security, reliability, scalability, performance, and cloud governance.
- Own the backlog, roadmap, and technical documentation in Jira and Confluence, and support development teams in efficiently using platform services and self-service offerings.
- Manage OKRs, budget, and cloud costs, and work closely with development teams on a modern developer experience.
- Experience with Kafka, Azure AI Foundry, and AI-assisted development and platform processes.
