Requirements
  • 5+ years experience in user-centered design across digital platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile).
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital systems design, responsive design and web standards and best practices.
  • Experience creating and managing digital design systems, web style guides, digital brand books, high fidelity prototypes.
  • Experience with Figma and other design platforms.
  • Interest in collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams (brand, marketing, development) in a fun, but fast-paced environment.
  • Strong visual style and thorough understanding of how typography, layout, color, usability and information architecture affect design and navigation.
  • Effective communications skills; have a point of view about your designs.
  • Deep knowledge of current digital technologies and interactive capabilities across devices as they relate to usability principles and techniques.
  • Organized and detail-oriented; ability to think holistically from an omnichannel perspective.
  • Capable of constructive collaboration with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to self-motivate, effectively prioritize work, and own project deadlines for on-time delivery.

Responsibilities
  • The Senior UX Designer will need to hit the ground running early in the role, to establish our in-house design system and shape the future of BRUNT DTC experiences.
  • In this role, you’ll be tasked with creating intuitive user interfaces that meet the needs of the BRUNT customer. You’ll do this by leveraging information derived from customer insights, market research and site data. You will continuously test, innovate and iterate to always ensure a best in class customer-centric user experience for BRUNT’s website.
  • This role reports to the Senior Director of Digital Product and manages one direct report.
  • The best outcomes will be achieved by collaborating cross functionally with the product management, engineering, marketing and creative teams.
  • Design Leadership: Own necessary design systems for the BRUNT DTC site by creating important design assets such as UI elements and digital style guides alongside the BRUNT Brand and Creative Team.
  • Design Leadership: Collaborate on the digital strategy for individual projects - ensuring individual projects align with and support the greater digital product strategy and business objectives.
  • Design Leadership: Help establish and reinforce consistent interaction design patterns across platforms and touch-points.
  • Design Leadership: Own process and execution for UX research including usability testing/benchmarking.
  • UX & Digital Design: Design and deliver wireframes, sitemaps, and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces based strongly on research-driven user requirements.
  • UX & Digital Design: Identify design problems; conceive new features and strategic solutions.
  • UX & Digital Design: Consistently provide a range of viable design solutions; capturing all states, edge-cases, “unhappy paths” and path logic for digital product and engineering teams to action and build.
  • UX & Digital Design: Develop innovative design solutions to address usability issues and user needs that balance business goals, revenue targets, and KPIs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate design goals and specifications to the engineering team; improve the hand-off process to maintain a pixel-perfect design standard.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and product management on A/B testing and CRO support to help drive the growth of key website KPIs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Advocate for intuitive user-centered experiences and brand-influenced design solutions.

Boot Manufacturer Relocates to Wilmington

Boot manufacturer relocates to Wilmington. A two-building portfolio owned by Camber Development is 100 percent occupied following a work apparel manufacturer's relocation and expansion to Wilmington. BRUNT Workwear leased 56,000 square feet of office, warehouse and R&D space at 301 Ballardvale St. BRUNT will relocate its company headquarters from North Reading to occupy part of the 126,000 square-foot advanced manufacturing facility in Wilmington, CBRE announced. The property ownership is a partnership between Boston-based Camber Development and GEM Realty Capital of Chicago. The 200,000 square-foot park was recapitalized by the partnership in November 2024 in a deal valued at $46.75 million. CBRE's Brian McKenzie and Christian Vallis represented ownership in the lease negotiations. Cresa's Derek Losi and Nathaniel Heilbron represented BRUNT.
