Fluxergy creates a portable diagnostic platform that lets healthcare providers, veterinarians (including equine), and food-safety teams run multiple diagnostic tests on a single device, delivering rapid results at point-of-care. The system combines the device with disposable test kits to perform various tests, from molecular assays like COVID-19 to other health and safety checks, and is designed for fast, on-site decision-making. Fluxergy differentiates itself by offering industry-specific applications and a scalable, end-to-end solution (device plus kits) that targets diverse PoC settings, backed by partnerships and validated through collaborations with institutions such as Mass General Brigham. The company aims to expand production and adoption to set new benchmarks in how quickly and reliably laboratory testing can be done in real-world environments.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • Fluxergy presented a new multimodal point-of-care platform at ADLM in July 2025.
  • The NIH NIAID partnership, announced November 2024, advances high-value STI testing.
  • Its equine Strep equi assay and coming multiplex reagents broaden near-term commercial pathways.

What critics are saying

  • Only the COVID-19 test has CE-IVD approval; everything else remains RUO.
  • Commercialization still depends on clinical trials for STI, vaginosis, and metabolic panels.
  • If NIH or DoD programs stall, Fluxergy lacks proven recurring revenue beyond niche assays.

What makes Fluxergy unique

  • Fluxergy’s multimodal analyzer combines PCR, chemistry, and cytometry on one platform.
  • The NIH NIAID collaboration validates Fluxergy’s sample-prep and STI assay development.
  • Its equine and food-safety assay menu targets niche buyers ignored by larger IVD vendors.
