Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a Test Analyst, with strong knowledge of test methodologies, tools, and processes
  • 5+ years’ test management experience
  • Previous ERP testing experience is essential – Oracle NetSuite would be preferred, but we’d still love to hear from you if you’ve been exposed to other systems such as Microsoft or SAP
  • Experience managing and executing the testing of complex business systems, including integrations, data migration, and cutover
  • Full range of Test skills spanning Functional, Regression, UAT and E2E testing
  • Experience developing test deliverables like test plans, test cases, test data, and traceability matrices
  • Relevant and demonstrable experience of managing relationships with business and external stakeholders
  • A proven track record of delivering on time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Deliver estimates of the testing effort needed for the all Finance System implementations, including integrations with internal and external systems
  • Plan, develop, and execute the test strategy and plan
  • Define, design and execute all testing work, including Functional Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression testing and support User Acceptance Testing (undertaken by subject matter experts situated within the business)
  • Analyse complex information and write concise, high quality test cases and prepare test data to support System Integration, End to End, Regression and User Acceptance Testing
  • Execute and maintain manual tests, providing accurate estimation of time to complete the test activities
  • Document queries and defects and provide adequate data to allow rapid resolution
  • Review testing requirements for change requests, assessing the impact on test plans and schedules
  • Lead & participate in daily stand up meetings, defect triage calls
  • Coordinate with internal teams, 3rd party suppliers, and system integrators around defect management
  • Provide key metrics that demonstrate a clear view of the testing cycles to a range of stakeholders. In case of bottlenecks, you will help plan and identify a solution with the project team
  • Monitor, measure, control and report to management on Test progress, Product quality, Test results and Test Completion.

  • Familiarity with financial software and systems (e.g,, Accounts Payable Applications: OCR, Invoice matching software)

Octopus Energy takes majority stake in Uplight to scale flexible grids across North America

Octopus Energy Group is acquiring a majority stake in Uplight, a North American grid flexibility provider, in partnership with Schneider Electric, which will remain a significant minority partner. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and expected to complete later this year. Uplight serves over 85 utilities across North America, including eight of the ten largest in the US, managing over 8.5 gigawatts of flexible load through demand response and distributed energy resource management solutions. The company will continue operating as an independent platform. Octopus Energy invests $1B in California clean tech and solar projects

Octopus Energy enters China with PCG Power to trade 140TWh renewable electricity annually by 2030

Octopus Energy has entered China's clean energy market through a joint venture with PCG Power, announced during the UK Prime Minister's visit to China. The partnership will create Bitong Energy, focused on trading renewable electricity across China's expanding spot power markets. The venture combines PCG Power's position in China's commercial and industrial renewable sector with Octopus Energy's technology for real-time power trading and asset management. It will launch initially in Guangdong province before expanding nationwide. By 2030, Bitong Energy aims to trade up to 140 terawatt-hours of renewable electricity annually and targets annual profits of around £50 million. The partners expect the business to achieve a valuation exceeding £500 million within five years, making it one of Britain's most significant clean tech exports to Asia.
