About the job

Requirements
  • Proven professional software engineering experience with substantial hands-on work across both front end and back end, ideally on fintech applications.
  • Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, including sound judgment in reviewing, testing, and owning AI-generated code.
  • Practical exposure to building with large language models, such as calling model APIs, integrating an agent or tool-use flow, or shipping a feature on a platform such as AWS Bedrock.
  • Strong backend experience with Java and Spring Boot, including designing and building microservice architectures with RESTful APIs, and proficiency with SQL and object-relational mappers.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Tailwind CSS, with a strong grasp of responsive and mobile-first design.
  • Experience in modern cloud distributed architecture, particularly AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
  • Solid understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, plus CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience working in an agile environment with cross-functional product, design, and engineering teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, including explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
  • Own problems from scoping through shipping and iteration, working directly with business and engineering teams to turn ideas into production features across the full stack.
  • Use agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor to design, build, test, and review software, and help shape how the team uses them.
  • Work with AI engineers to integrate AI features into the platform, including wiring agents, LLM-powered workflows, and MCP integrations into services and user interfaces, with streaming responses and sensible guardrails.
  • Build and maintain microservices using Java 21 and Spring Boot, contributing to an open architecture that integrates the private markets ecosystem.
  • Define, develop, and optimize RESTful APIs, owning the contract between front end and back end with scalability and performance in mind.
  • Work with designers to turn mockups into responsive interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, and contribute to the evolution of the design system and theming.
  • Ensure seamless integration with third-party systems used by PE firms, distributors, private banks, and fund administrators.
  • Identify and fix bottlenecks across the stack, including data flow, service efficiency, front-end rendering, and user experience.
  • Champion unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, as well as DevOps best practices.
  • Share knowledge and support other engineers, contributing to a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Desired Qualifications
  • Fintech application experience is ideal.
  • An appetite to deepen practical experience building with large language models.
