About the Job

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or above in Physics and Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Three to ten years of experience in the diode field or at a wafer fabrication company.
  • A solid understanding of diode and semiconductor processes.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle pressure.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive fab troubleshooting and integration across multiple modules to sustain and improve product yield.
  • Execute product yield improvement and perform failure analysis to lead continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Process teams to resolve quality issues from back-end factories and customers.
  • Partner with Process, Product, Quality, and Purchasing teams on cost-reduction projects, including new material evaluations, process modifications, and second-source supplier qualifications.
  • Work closely with R&D to ensure the successful implementation of new technologies and products into manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoot product quality abnormalities by identifying their causes and coordinating cross-functional resources to resolve them.
  • Analyze data and failure mechanisms, and initiate and lead continuous improvement projects to maintain product yield.
  • Work with Quality and Process teams to resolve and prevent quality feedback from back-end packaging factories and end customers.
  • Coordinate with Process, Product, Quality, and Purchasing teams on product cost optimization, including new material evaluation, process changes, and second-source supplier qualification.
  • Work with R&D to transfer new technologies and products into a mass-production environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency in quality-control methods such as statistical process control and design of experiments, and in data-analysis software.
