Certified Behavior Technician

Pay: $30–$32/hour, depending on experience and education
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:15 a.m.–2:10 p.m.; Friday, 7:15 a.m.–12:40 p.m.
Setting: School-based assignments; travel between assigned sites is required

Help students with disabilities build communication, independence, and daily living skills during the school day. At Patterns Behavioral Services, you’ll provide one-to-one support under clinical supervision and work alongside school and clinical teams.

What you’ll do

• Follow individualized behavior plans while supporting students at school.
• Record accurate data on student progress.
• Support communication using tools such as AAC, PECS, or ASL when included in a student’s plan.
• Help students practice daily living and self-care skills as assigned.
• Respond to challenging behavior using the strategies in each student’s plan.
• Communicate with clinical staff, school staff, and families as appropriate.

What you’ll need

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children, whether personal or professional.
• A valid Washington driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation for travel between assigned sites.
• The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist students with the physical parts of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

A Washington Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) credential, national RBT certification, or experience in ABA, special education, or direct support is preferred. A Washington CBT credential is required for assignments that call for one.
