  • Experience working with high-volume data of at least 1 TB and high-dimensionality data with more than 500 variables per schema, especially in a big-data framework such as Hadoop, Citus, or MongoDB.
  • Experience with data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, correlation analysis, statistical methodologies including distributions, hypothesis testing, and confidence intervals, significance testing, and A/B testing.
  • Experience with basic Linux administration and software development in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with data visualization and statistical methods.
  • Demonstrated research and problem-solving skills through prior work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of software version control, coding best practices, and development management software such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies and procedures including CDMA, EVDO, LTE, VoLTE, or 5G.
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal for more than 75% of work time in an office environment.
Responsibilities
  • Work under the coaching of senior and lead engineers on the Data Science & Tools Team to analyze deployed network elements.
  • Query databases to extract data and use Python or R to analyze it for identifying 4G/5G network infrastructure and performance issues.
  • Build prediction models, ad hoc tools, and dashboards to communicate findings to team members and peers.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to explore relationships among 4G/5G KPI measurements and targets for 4G/5G RAN product acceptance and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with RF engineers, network engineers, data scientists, platform engineers, product teams, and operations stakeholders to ensure machine learning outputs are technically accurate, interpretable, and operationally useful.
  • Use A/B testing, statistical models, and machine learning models to build mechanisms for product and feature performance analysis, new product and software release evaluation, and third-party product evaluation.
  • Support product and feature performance analysis and evaluation of new product and software releases and third-party products using analytics and data science to drive business decisions.
  • Define and interpret data, metrics, and KPIs; analyze results; and provide insights into operational impact, trends, and opportunities for 4G/5G RAN products.
  • Prototype use cases, implement automations, and develop tools that support and augment manual or repetitive efforts.
  • Communicate key findings to stakeholders using visualizations or other suitable methods.
  • Compile analysis outputs and findings into a succinct story for technical and non-technical audiences.
