Requirements
  • A Master's Degree.
  • At least five years of school leadership experience.
  • A proven record of academic outcomes in Science, including New York State Science exams, Regents exams, and Advanced Placement exams.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Design rigorous Science learning experiences that deepen students' understanding of scientific concepts, strengthen their ability to analyze evidence and data, and develop their skills in scientific reasoning and explanation.
  • Lead high school Science to meet rigorous annual academic goals.
  • Develop authentic and meaningful relationships across Zeta to collaborate effectively in support of student learning.
  • Create and curate curriculum and assessment materials aligned with New York State Learning Standards and Zeta Learning Competencies, including unit plans, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Ensure a coherent sequence of learning through unit and lesson plans grounded in critical thinking.
  • Design and lead professional learning trainings for school principals, assistant principals, and teachers.
  • Develop clear instructional management plans to ensure all Science instruction is consistently implemented at a high level.
  • Observe instruction across Zeta schools and develop leaders and teachers to ensure programming is implemented at a high level and produces exceptional academic outcomes.
  • Study data to identify gaps and take action to ensure leaders and teachers use data to increase learning outcomes.
  • Seek, provide, and incorporate feedback while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Support the work of other team members and take on new projects and tasks as needed.
