- 6+ years of Electrical System Verification for consumer electronics
- Experience with definition of validation test plans and developing detailed electrical validation SOPs
- Experience owning significant areas of electrical validation
- Experience executing electrical validation on the bench. Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and temp chamber
- Understanding of board schematics and board layout, finding proper probe locations and identify potential points of failure in the DUT
- Working knowledge of Python, and LabVIEW for data processing and automation
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Define electrical validation methodologies for PCB and different subsystems by working with system integration EE team and technology teams
- Define and track detailed test plans for the different modules and top level systems. Validation coverage includes SoC, low speed signal interface (I2C, I2S, PDM...etc), I/O signals, high speed differential interface, electrical performance of subsystems such as optical sensors, microphones, cameras, battery, charger, and RF
- Drive and execute validation to meet key deadlines and priority goals
- Own execution, interpretation, and reporting of electrical validation work status and results
- Clearly document test results. Keep track of bugs encountered and fixed
- Design, expand EE test automation and processes
- Support system bring up and debug activities
- Clearly communicate test plans and results
- Experience with VNA and ENA, logic analyzer, signal analyzer, battery simulator, data acquisition device (DAQ), audio precision analyzer, audio amp measurement filter
- Python, and LabVIEW development experience
- Board and system level validation and debugging experience
- Experience with mobile technology (smartphone, watches, AR/VR) is a plus
- Masters in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Firmware verification experience
- Experience in System and Subsystem power verification

Opposition to data centres has become a significant issue ahead of the US midterm elections, with voters unseating local politicians who support them. Residents cite concerns over water pollution, noise, power demands and environmental degradation. In Missouri, four city council members lost their seats over supporting a $6 billion data centre. Similar ousters occurred in Independence, Missouri, and rural North Carolina. The backlash crosses party lines, prompting state legislatures nationwide to consider bills ranging from eliminating tax incentives to construction moratoriums. Despite generating substantial tax revenue and construction jobs, communities increasingly resist these developments. Virginia, which has the most data centres, is considering eliminating sales tax exemptions worth $1.9 billion. President Trump has acknowledged affordability concerns whilst supporting development, though his proposals lack enforcement mechanisms.
Meta is raising prices for its Quest VR headsets by $50–$100 (12–20%) from 19 April, citing a global surge in memory chip prices affecting consumer electronics. However, Meta's own spending priorities have contributed to this component shortage.
