Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in energy, policy, or technical consulting.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Subject matter expertise in energy and policy domains.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance, such as Secret Facility Clearance, Top Secret Facility Clearance, or Department of Energy Q clearance.
  • United States citizenship is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth market research and analysis on energy markets, industrial trends, economic developments, economic impacts, and regulatory strategies.
  • Identify market trends and economic impacts to inform energy strategies.
  • Support regulatory and strategic initiatives and align with Energy Market Economic and Regulatory Analysis functional-area initiatives.
  • Provide public comment review, data analysis, modeling, evaluation, mapping, forecasting, report development, data-tracking tools, workforce policy analysis and convening.
  • Support technical consulting services for the Department of Energy Office of Policy.
  • Develop analyses, support initiatives, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of energy solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Department of Energy objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and participate in high-level Department of Energy strategy discussions.
