Requirements
  • A high school degree or equivalent is required.
  • A current State of Rhode Island EMT-B license is required.
  • Knowledge of the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by LifePact Ambulance is required.
  • The ability to read, speak, write legibly, and comprehend English without restriction is required.
  • Knowledge and skills to provide patient care considering aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns throughout the care process are required.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification is required; instructor status is preferred.
  • Certifications mandated by the position must be maintained.
  • A valid, current driver's license and clean driving record are required.
  • Emergency Vehicle Operators Course certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
  • Clinical skill proficiency and knowledge within scope of practice must be maintained, including patient assessment, history, and physical examination.
  • The ability to travel without restriction in ambulances, cars, trucks, boats, airplanes, and helicopters is required.
  • The ability to work in cramped quarters and all weather conditions, including exposure to hazardous materials and other risks, is required.
  • The physical ability to run, climb, carry medical equipment, and lift patients is required.
  • The ability to rise erect from a squatting position while lifting 175 pounds between two people is required; agility testing is monitored annually.
  • Applicants must be free of motion sickness or a history of it and any physical ailment that may impair consciousness or cognitive ability.
  • Visual acuity meeting Rhode Island Registry of Motor Vehicles requirements is required, even for those licensed outside Rhode Island; color discrimination is required for identifying labels, assessing patients, and reading placards.
  • Hearing adequate to converse in normal tones, hear equipment sounds and alarms, use radios and other communication devices, and perform job tasks is required; corrected hearing is acceptable.
  • One year of emergency medical care experience is preferred.
  • The work requires travel in vehicles including ambulances and aircraft, including travel to conferences in other areas of the country.
Responsibilities
  • Perform non-invasive patient care alongside the critical care paramedic during transport in accordance with established standards, protocols, and policies under physician medical director supervision.
  • Provide comprehensive, effective, and safe non-invasive care to patients transported by LifePACT.
  • Assist in developing patient-care protocols and methods.
  • Participate in training curricula and research.
  • Complete patient documentation, written and electronic, according to Rhode Island Hospital and the Rhode Island Department of Health Division of EMS in a timely manner to expedite patient billing.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with employees, patients, patient families, referring hospitals, and the community.
  • Follow LifePACT policies and procedures.
  • Follow safety standards set by Rhode Island Hospital and the Rhode Island Department of Health.
  • Report to remote locations for duty and respond on call to emergencies, disasters, and major incidents.
  • Attend required staff and educational meetings and remain current with literature relevant to program areas.
  • Perform data entry and clerical assistance.
  • Assist with Emergency Department communications and dispatch at and for the communications center, and perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support instructor status is preferred.

(“TriSalus” or the “company”), an oncology company in the process of going public through a business combination transaction (the “Business Combination”) with MedTech Acquisition Corporation (Nasdaq: MTAC) (“MedTech” or “MTAC”), today announced that it has expanded the reach of its ongoing Pressure-Enabled Regional Immuno-Oncology™ (“PERIO™-01” and “PERIO™-02”) clinical program.In recent months TriSalus has opened five new PERIO™-01 (NCT04935229) clinical trial sites, at Stanford University Hospitals, University of California Los Angeles, University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Campus, University of Washington Medical Center and University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, in addition to five previously activated sites.
