iBase-t names Andrew Varghese CFO to support aerospace and defense software growth.

iBase-t names Andrew Varghese CFO to support aerospace and defense software growth. October 7, 2026 Andrew Varghese iBase-t has named Andrew Varghese chief financial officer, adding an industrial software and private equity veteran as the company increases investment in its manufacturing platform and artificial intelligence capabilities for the aerospace and defense market. Varghese joins iBase-t with more than a decade of experience as a private equity investor and operating executive in the industrial software-as-a-service sector. He will help strengthen the company's financial and operating infrastructure as iBase-t pursues its next phase of growth. The appointment comes as aerospace and defense manufacturers invest in production capacity, supply-chain resilience and digital modernization to meet growing industry demand. "We see a substantial opportunity ahead as aerospace and defense companies invest in greater production capacity, operational resilience, and digital modernization," iBase-t CEO Naveen Poonian said. "Andrew brings the financial leadership and experience to help us translate those investments into platform innovation, deeper customer relationships, and sustained business growth." Varghese most recently served as CFO of Irth Solutions, an industrial software company serving critical infrastructure operators. During his tenure, Irth Solutions more than tripled its annual recurring revenue while maintaining strong profitability and ultimately completed a sale to a global growth equity firm. His broader experience includes working with founders and management teams across several industrial SaaS businesses, with an emphasis on building the financial controls, operating systems and organizational infrastructure required to support rapid growth. That combination of private equity and operating experience aligns with iBase-t's current strategy. The privately backed company plans to use its capital resources to accelerate product investment while expanding its position in aerospace and defense manufacturing and sustainment software. "I was drawn to iBase-t's deep expertise in aerospace and defense and the critical role its software plays in customers' operations during a period of unprecedented demand in the industry," Varghese said. He said his priorities will include strengthening the financial and operating foundation needed to scale the company while supporting investment in product innovation. iBase-t has spent nearly four decades developing software for aerospace and defense manufacturers, including applications supporting manufacturing, quality and maintenance, repair and overhaul operations. Its core product, the Solumina Manufacturing Operations Platform, is a cloud-native system designed to establish digital continuity across complex manufacturing environments. Customers include Northrop Grumman, Leonardo DRS, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney and Textron. The company is increasingly adding AI capabilities to that software foundation as aerospace and defense manufacturers look for ways to improve production efficiency and manage increasingly complex operations. Unlike more generalized manufacturing software, iBase-t focuses specifically on the requirements of aerospace and defense companies, where production processes can involve extensive regulatory, quality, traceability and sustainment requirements. That specialization gives the company established relationships in a market where replacing mission-critical manufacturing systems can be complex and where software platforms can become deeply integrated into operating processes. For Varghese, the CFO role will involve balancing increased investment against the financial discipline required to scale a software business efficiently. His experience at Irth Solutions provides a recent example of managing that combination. The company expanded recurring revenue by more than three times before completing its exit, giving Varghese experience supporting growth while preparing a business for a strategic financial transaction. At iBase-t, the immediate focus is on using that background to support organic expansion rather than a disclosed transaction. The company sees opportunities to deepen existing customer relationships, expand adoption of Solumina and invest further in AI-enabled capabilities as aerospace and defense companies modernize their manufacturing operations. Varghese's appointment adds a CFO with experience on both the investor and operator sides of industrial software as iBase-t seeks to convert those market opportunities into sustained growth. With private equity backing providing capital for expansion, his role will center on ensuring investments in AI, product development and customer growth are supported by the financial and operating infrastructure needed to scale the business.

811spotter is Now an HCSS Marketplace Partner.

811spotter is Now an HCSS Marketplace Partner. Irth: Published September 30, 2026 I'm thrilled to announce that 811spotter is now an HCSS Marketplace partner. Why is this collaboration significant for contractors? Rateb Almasri, Senior Product Manager of Partnerships at HCSS, sums it up best: "Integrating with 811spotter will help HCSS customers eliminate double entry by pulling jobs and cost codes from HeavyJob & your ERP to ensure your 811 tickets are tagged with consistent data to form a best-in-breed solution." As I often say, nobody gets into the construction business to manage 811 tickets - people get into this business because they like to build stuff. 811spotter makes it radically easy to track, document and communicate ticket information between office and field teams. And now, through its integration with HCSS's project management systems like HeavyJob, contractors can streamline operations, eliminating redundant data entry and ensuring consistent data across projects. Beyond fulfilling legal compliance, 811spotter empowers contractors to pre-plan jobs, identify hazards and maintain on-site visibility. The overall result is massive operational uptime. For instance, MGE Underground managed 12,000 tickets in a year with its system, significantly improving their operational efficiency. This partnership represents more than an alliance between two companies; it signifies a commitment to revolutionizing construction project management. Irth Solutions, L.L.C. is excited about this new chapter with HCSS and look forward to driving more innovations in the industry. Read more on HCSS's website. Thank you for your continued support and trust in 811spotter. Here's to a safer, more efficient future in construction management!
