Responsibilities
  • Provide timely, relevant, and practical advice to protect the company’s interests while ensuring an appropriate balance of legal, ethical, and business considerations
  • Provide oversight of the company’s IP strategy: manage IP counsel to continue to build a strong patent portfolio and IP strategy; provide counseling to management on IP related legal matters
  • Draft, review and negotiate various types of agreements including clinical, commercial, corporate, supplier, and other critical business agreements, in partnership with external counsel as needed
  • Serve as a key legal advisor for corporate and business development teams in areas of partnering, due diligence, IP licensing, and commercial topics
  • Build and maintain technical infrastructure to support efficient legal operations, including managing the company’s contract review and approval systems to ensure timely and efficient workflows for all contracting activities
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to track progress and address any issues related to contract activities to ensure all contractual obligations are tracked, deadlines are met, and relevant stakeholders are informed of their obligations in a timely manner
  • Work with corporate teams and outside counsel to support employment and immigration law matters
