- 4-year degree in Engineering with Avionics/Electrical Systems concentration
- 7+ years of engineering experience relating to Aircraft Avionics and Electrical systems modification, troubleshooting, and repair
- Knowledgeable in avionics systems architecture and software requirements for Flight Management Systems and aeronautical data link communications systems and protocol
- Experience with ARINC-429, -717 data bus and working knowledge of IP security
- 5+ years of experienced required in technical report writing skills
- Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 21, 25, 91, and 121 regulatory requirements
- 2+ years of experience working in a Part 121 environment
- Knowledge of Embraer and Airbus aircraft avionics and systems
- Review and take action in response to Airworthiness Directives (AD)
- Review and disposition avionics/electrical systems Service Bulletins, Service Letters, modifications, and other engineering technical documents
- Serve as the focal point for business partners on resolving technical issues relating to avionics and aircraft electrical systems
- Coordinate and work with flight and operations control departments in defining and managing aircraft voice and datalink applications
- Develop avionics installations and upgrades to meet technical airworthiness and operational requirements
- Evaluate new avionics technologies potential value and contribution to airline operational and business objectives
- Develop technical data required for modifications, repairs, and troubleshooting of aircraft avionics and electrical systems
- Obtain regulatory approval for modifications and repairs performed on aircraft avionics, systems, and components
- Develop customized procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, and other maintenance actions
- Prepare engineering documents such as Engineering Orders (EO) to provide technical dispositions for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions
- Establish build specifications for aircraft avionics, systems, and components
- Provide on-site technical support at MRO locations during modification and outstations for AOG situations
- Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
